Seasonal Plume

Seasonal Plume is my writing and literature blog, although it’s long been rather stagnant before I installed WordPress to use as my blogging script; previously, I’d long wanted to blog at my first domain, but I’m really rather finicky about using third-party scripts; I’d really rather make my own. But since I didn’t have the time to create a blogging script from the ground up, I decided to give WordPress a shot.
This first theme was my first attempt at WordPress, and it was heavily based on the WordPress Foliage Mod by Derek Punsalan. I used it for a couple of months until I decided the AJAXy thing just wasn’t working for me on Seasonal Plume (though I did feel it was very spiffy!).
I basically used Photoshop’s wet sponge brush to create the backgrounds and content borders for this theme, a technique which I find I like a lot. The centered theme was simple and easy on the eyes with the neutral browns and a splash of color here and there.
