Yahoo! Answers Messenger Plugin

Continuing with Yahoo!’s efforts to bring the Yahoo! products closer to home, the SEA team created a Yahoo! Messenger plugin for Yahoo! Answers, specifically for the users in countries in Southeast Asia.

The primary frontend engineer for the plugin is Jaydee (of TipidPC fame), and the functionality was almost done when I came on board. I came up with the resulting design for the plugin, and helped to tweak the final product. The plugin extensively uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and can be downloaded for use at the Yahoo! plugins gallery.

Some functionalities of the plugin has also been ported over to the Yahoo! front pages for the SEA region in the form of the Answers PA module.
